Driving time from Faro: 1 hour.
Centred around the historic town of Lagos the western Algarve has
something to offer everyone. Located a one hour drive from Faro the region
has superb sandy beaches ranging from the broad expanses of Meia Praia
and Porto do Mos to the intimate cove beaches such as Praia DAna
and the smaller resort beaches of Burgau, Salema and Praia da Luz. Lagos
itself has a choice of eight beaches and within a short drive is one of
the Algarves best waterslide parks Slide n Splash
near to Portimao. Shopping and eating out are well catered for in all
areas and the paved centre of Lagos provides an ideal evening of strolling
and dining. The old castle walls and fort still stand in Lagos and you
will find the remains of the only remaining slave market in Europe, evidence
of the towns important past. The new marina encapsulates the tasteful
way in which the town has developed and boat trips are very popular activities.
Sports of all kinds are well catered for. Superb golf is available at
Parque de Floresta, Boa Vista, Palmares and Penina. The Parque de Floresta
also boasts tennis, health spa and gym. There are a number of horse riding
centres, tennis and squash at the Burgau Sports Centre and water sports
abound at both Meia Praia beach and Praia da Luz. Much of the area between
Lagos and Cape St. Vincent has been designated National Park and development
is now restricted. This is an area of natural beauty and a day trip to
the most south westerly point of Europe at Sagres and Cape St. Vincent
is a must. For the adventurous a drive to the Atlantic facing beaches
on the west coast is becoming increasingly popular where there is superb
surfing.
Driving time from Faro: 45 min.
Carvoeiro
is becoming increasingly popular with the discerning villa holidaymaker.
Centred around the quaint fishing village
the villas are of a high quality. There are many villas which are within
easy walking distance of the sandy beach and an excellent choice of shops,
bars and restaurants. To both east and west are further sandy beaches
and at Benagil and Praia do Carvalho you will find sandy coves which,
even at the height of summer, offer space and calm. Sports
are well catered for, there being two 18 hole golf courses at Carvoeiro
Golf and the 9 hole course at Vale de Milho. Tennis is also available
at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club and only a five minute drive away is Slide
n Splash, a superb water slide park. For trips out,
Portimao is a major shopping centre and the restaurants around the fishing
harbour offer the freshest fish possible. The Monchique hills, the spa
town of Caldas and the historic centre of Silves are all only a short
drive away.

Driving time from Faro: 30min.

that you could wish for. Vale de Parra is a region of quality villas in
rural countryside and where there are superb sandy beaches ranging from
the large expanses of sand at Gale to the cove beaches of Castelho. Individual
restaurants abound and the small town of Guia, a five minute drive from
most villas and walking distance from some, is famous for its choice of
twenty five restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. Sporting
facilities are available in the area including golf at Salgados. There
are waterslide parks a short drive away and the Zoomarina is only ten
minutes away. Albufeira itself is a bustling resort with an excellent
sandy beach. The centre retains its traditional character and there is
a wide choice of nightlife, shops, bars and restaurants.

Vilamoura is a very popular resort combining all modern
holiday requirements with superb sandy beaches. It is a paradise for golfers
and other sports are well catered for at Browns Country Club. The
town contains a very wide choice of restaurants plus nightlife including
the casino. Vilamoura is famous for its marina and an evening stroll and

Vale de Lobo maintains a high standard of quality
with most villas in walking distance of the sandy beaches. It is a mecca
for the golfer and other sports are well catered for at Barringtons (please
note that some of our villas include free membership) and the David Lloyd
Tennis Centre. There are many excellent restaurants from which to choose
and shopping is available at both centres and at the nearby small town
of Almancil. Nestling in the foothills and with superb views to Vale de
Lobo and the coast is Santa Barbara de Nexe. Villas here have the perfect
combination of a peaceful location, superb views, excellent local facilities
including both traditional and quality restaurants in the village and
an easy fifteen minute drive to the coast. Less than ten minutes away

with the Saturday market not to be missed.
